Mary Nolan Obituary
AGE: 90 • Scotch Plains
Mary Lorraine Nolan, 90, passed away on Friday September 13, 2013 at JFK Haven Hospice in Edison. Born in Boston, MA, she had lived in Old Bridge before moving to Scotch Plains in 1972.
Mary proudly served with the US Army during World War II. She worked as a payroll secretary at Jonathan Dayton High School in Springfield for many years before retiring. Mary was a member of the American Legion Post #3 in Westfield as well as a member of the Rosary Society at Immaculate Heart of Mary RC Church in Scotch Plains.
She is survived by her loving husband, Robert E. Nolan; her daughter Sharon Bie and her husband, Thomas; her two grandchildren, Marisa Kuebler and Krista Keats; and her two great-grandchildren, Devin and Michaela. She was predeceased by her daughter, Pamela Anne Nolan, who died in 1970.
The funeral will be from Memorial Funeral Home, 155 South Ave. Fanwood, on Wednesday at 9AM followed by a 10AM funeral Mass at Immaculate Heart of Mary RC Church, 1571 Martine Ave., Scotch Plains. Interment will follow at St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Immaculate Heart of Mary RC Church. For additional information or to express condolences, please visit www.fanwoodmemorial.com.

I got to know mary well from being commander of post 3 from 2001-2008. Mary will be missed. She was a great person
