Melita Ruth Fingerlin, 70, passed away on April 5, 2013. She was born on October 6, 1942 in Mineola, New York. Mrs. Fingerlin was a retired tax clerk and tag officer for the Bureau of Sayreville, New Jersey. Melita and her husband moved to The Villages from Sayreville, New Jersey in 2003. She was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, past member of the Columbiettes in New Jersey and past catechism teacher at St. Bernadette's Church. Melita enjoyed playing golf, crocheting, and reading.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Frederick Fingerlin, Sr., The Villages, FL; four sons, Frederick, Fingerlin, Jr., Bayville, NJ; Robert Fingerlin, Temecula, CA; Michael John Fingerlin, Ocean Gate, NJ; Richard Fingerlin, Manalapan, NJ; her daughter, Cynthia Hurley, Temecula, CA; two sisters, Rhoda Vogeler, Millwood, NY and Patricia Soldt-Opperman, Roswell, GA; her mother Josephine Soldt, Roswell, GA and fifteen grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Theresa Catholic Church. A visitation will be held Tuesday evening, April 9, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services - The Villages.
