Albert E. "Chipper" Smith, Jr., 59, died April 30, 2011 in Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. Born in Plainfield, Chipper as he was fondly called, lived in Westfield and Plainfield before moving to Asbury Park.

He was predeceased by his father Albert E. Smith, Sr.; 2 brothers George "Gee Gee" Brown, Jr. and Kirk Douglas Smith. Surviving are a daughter Shequila Davis; a son Terrance T. Smith; his mother and step father Eleanor and George Brown, Sr.; 6 grandchildren; 3 brothers Jerome R. and Nathaniel "Winky" Smith and James Brown; 2 sisters Pleshette Walker and Samantha Brown; 2 uncles, 4 aunts and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral Mon. 7pm in Brown's Funeral Home, Plainfield preceded by viewing at 6pm. Condolences may be expressed at brownsfuneralhome.net
