Ann Louise Harris

Ann Louise Harris, age 52, of Lakewood, passed away on Monday, September 23, 2013, at the Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune, NJ. She was born on December 17, 1960 in New York, NY. She was raised in Hazlet, NJ and was a resident of Lakewood for over 20 years. Ann was an occupational therapist with over thirty years of experience, who previously worked with JFK Hospital, Monmouth Medical Center, and Seabrook Village. Ann was a graduate of Mater Dei High School and Kean College of NJ. She later received her M.Ed. from Rutgers University. She was a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association, the NJ Occupational Therapy Association, the American Society of Hand Therapists, and the National Lymphedema Network. Ann was an avid quilter and reader.
Granddaughter of the late Ethel and George Morvan and the late Emma and Sam Harris, she was predeceased by her father William J. Harris. Ann is survived by her mother Mary R. Harris; her companion Tom Dalton; a sister, Ruth Zachok and her husband Steven; a niece Lauren Menzer and her husband Andrew; and a nephew, Steven Zachok, III and his wife Ellen; a great niece Lucy Zachok; and two great nephews, David and Henry Zachok.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at the D'Elia Funeral Home, 1300 Vermont Ave., Lakewood, NJ. Her funeral mass will be celebrated 12 p.m. Friday in St. Joesph's Church, 376 Maple Pl, Keyport, NJ 07735. Cremation will be private.
