Betty J. Bramhall, 83, of Doylestown, Pa., formerly of Brielle, died Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at Hunterdon Care Center in Flemington, NJ. Born in Scotch Plains, she lived in Pt. Pleasant Beach and Brielle for many years, before moving to Doylestown, PA. Mrs. Bramhall was a secretary for the Sea Girt Board of Education for many years before retiring in 1986. Betty graduated from Pt. Pleasant Beach High School in 1948. After retirement, she was active with the New Hope Historical Society and the Parry Mansion Museum in New Hope. During her time with the Historical Society, she started the Garden Tour, which was one of their biggest fundraisers and still continues to this day. She was elected and served for several years on the Board of Education for New Hope-Solebury School District. Betty loved art, dancing and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren.
Mrs. Bramhall was pre-deceased by her husband, George in 2010 and is survived by 3 sons, John Woolley & his wife Marian of Warrington, PA, Mark Woolley of Manasquan and Tim Woolley & his wife Dana of Manasquan; 1 daughter, Victoria Vakiener & her husband Bruce of Port Murray, NJ; 1 brother, Karl Johanson of Wall Twp. and 12 grandchildren. Betty is also survived by John Woolley of Brielle.
Visitation will be on Sunday, January 12, 2014 from 2 to 5pm at the Neary-Quinn Funeral Home, 39 South Street, Manasquan, NJ. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 13, 2014 at 11 am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Brielle.
