Blanca Esperanza Kafati Mahomar
AGE: 87 • Spring Lake Heights
Blanca Esperanza Kafati Mahomar entered into eternal rest Sunday morning, Feb. 24, 2013, surrounded by her loving family. "Blanchi", as she was known to most of those who had the pleasure of knowing her, was born February 20, 1926, in Honduras, Central America. She was the oldest of 12 brothers and sisters. She was married to her beloved husband, Emilio, on November 24, 1957, in San Salvador, El Salvador, where the couple then resided, worked and raised their family before retiring and residing permanently in the United States. A devoted wife, mother and friend, Blanchi was loved by her family and friends alike for her selfless dedication to all those important to her.
She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Emilio along with their three children and their families: Helen "Roxana" and Jorge Alonzo and their three children, Jessica, George, and Michael; Thelma and John Styslinger and their children, Caroline and John Jr.; and Emilio Jr. and Denise Mahomar and their children, Katlyn, Madison and Mitchell, all of whom will remember her as the loving, caring and generous Grandmother "Abuela" that she was for as long as they live. She also leaves several brothers and sisters and dozens of nieces and nephews both here and throughout Central America. Everyone who ever knew Blanchi will never forget her warm smile, her kind and pleasant demeanor, and her willingness to put her family's interests above all else.
