CARMEN DELLAPIETRO
AGE: 66 PERTH AMBOY
Carmen Joseph Dellapietro, 66, of Perth Amboy, died Monday, Nov. 9, 2009, at home. Born in Perth Amboy, he was a lifelong resident. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, where he was a former trustee, choir member and deacon. He was a carpenter-millright for 36 years with the Carpenters Local #65, Perth Amboy and later with Local #1006, Milltown. He was a New Jersey and Perth Amboy exempt fireman and was an ex-captain with both the Humane & Protection Hook & Ladder Fire Companies, a former member of the Perth Amboy First Aid Squad and also beonged to the Carpenters 65 Club.
He is preceeded in death by his parents, Carmen and Emily (nee Phillips) Dellapietro. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Diane (nee Levandoski) Dellapietro; his daughter and son-in-law, Dawn and Stephen Ciraky; his son and daughter-in-law, David and Brenda Dellapietro, all of Perth Amboy; his sister, Carol Leo of Sewaren; and his sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Charles Skurzynski of Matawan. He is also survived by his three grandchildren, Krystal and her husband Dino Rossi, Stephen Ciraky and David Dellapietro; his great-grandson, Jaden Joseph Rossi; and several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12 at the Gustav J. Novak Funeral Home, 419 Barclay St., Perth Amboy. We will begin to leave at 10:15 a.m. Friday, Nov. 13 from the funeral home for an 11 a.m. service at First Baptist Church. Burial will be in Alpine Cemetery.
