Charles Brady Beiter, 88, of Carteret, NJ died peacefully on Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014 at home. Charles was born in South Amboy and was a lifelong resident of Carteret. He was a graduate of St. Mary's High School in Perth Amboy, NJ and Syracuse University. Charles was a U.S. Army Veteran and served during the Korean War. He was employed by M&T Chemicals of Rahway, NJ for 40 years, retiring in 1993 and worked as a consultant after his retirement. Charles enjoyed sailing, scuba diving, skiing and traveling with his family.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 58 years, Catherine (Coaccioli) Beiter in 2012 and his son, Russell, in 2010 and his brothers, Howard and David. He is survived by his two sons, Jeffrey and his wife, JoAnne, of Edison, NJ and Lawrence and his wife, Lisa, of Indianapolis, IN; one daughter, Susan Amoroso and her husband, Anthony, of Bethlehem, PA; his cherished eight grandchildren, Jonathan and Bryan Beiter; Abigail, Sarah and Erin Beiter; and Christopher Amoroso and his wife, Shanna; Carin (Amoroso) Gallagher and her husband, Patrick; and Audrey Amoroso. Also survived by his sisters-in-law, Marge Beiter and Louise Beiter and his brother-in-law, Julius Coaccioli and his wife, Barbara; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will take place Saturday 8:30 AM at the Rumpf Funeral Home, 21 Locust Street, Carteret, NJ. We will begin leaving at 9:00 AM for a 9:30 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph RC Church, Carteret. Entombment to follow at St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia. Visitation will be today 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph School, 55 High St., Carteret, NJ 07008.
