DANIEL RAYMOND ARMSTRONG
AGE: 50 RARITAN BOROUGH
Daniel Raymond "Danny" Armstrong, 50, of Raritan Borough, entered into eternal rest on Monday, Jan. 19, 2009 at home. Born in New Brunswick, he was raised in East Brunswick, spent most of his adult life in Jamesburg and resided briefly in Lambertville before settling to Raritan two years ago. Danny had been employed by Gina's Pastry Shop in Somerset for many years and previously worked at Herman Edwards and also as a manager for Volkswagen in Jamesburg. Danny was a dedicated sports fan of the New York Mets, New York Giants and New York Rangers. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, camping and spending time outdoors. Danny found great comfort in and was always accompanied by his beloved dogs, Mugzie and Sadie. He lost his beloved boxer, Mugzie in Jan. of 2008. He was a breeder of Rottweilers, having bred and raised his faithful companion, Sadie.
Danny was predeceased by his dear father, Wallace Spencer Armstrong, Sr. in Sept. of 2007. Danny leaves behind his dear mother and step-father, Dolores and Charles Cowell; his step-mother, Helen Armstrong; his five loving siblings, two brothers, Wally S. Armstrong, Jr., and David Armstrong; three sisters, Mary Susan AKA Saravasti Blanc, Holly Armstrong and Rita Armstrong. He will be deeply missed by two nephews, Wally III and John; three nieces, Jennifer, Kristin and Betsy; two great nephews Alex and Jack; by his dear Aunt Lola and by his many cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial gathering to be held on Saturday, Jan. 31, 2009 from 2-4pm at the Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835. A religious service will begin 2:30pm with Pastor Timothy Wolf officiating, at which time, the family will also be reflecting on Danny's life.
