The older I get the more I think about my childhood and Dean was a big part of that. The radio station I listen to plays My Cheri Amore often and always brings tears to my eyes. He sang that song to me as I listened from my bedroom window. My first love always in my heart. I keep his family in my prayers.

I am saddened to learn about Dean's death. I went to school with Dean from Kindergarten to 4th grade at St Anthony's School in Belleville. I haven't seen him since he moved away in the mid 60's, but I remember him well as the class clown. It was just recently when some former classmates got together that we talked fondly about Dean. At that time none of us knew that he had already passed nor did we know the level of fame that he attained. My condolences to his family.

Dear Fasano family, my name is Roseanne Grossano Ragosta. i am 54 years old. I moved to Port Reading and lived on Gaffney Way, in 1965 when i was 10 years old. My first boyfriend was Dean. He would ride his bike from his house on Beacon St. to Gaffney Way almost everyday. We would ride our bikes together and find our other friends like Anthony Picillo, his sister Tina, John Candito, Mike Armento and so many others. Every nite before we had to go home at dark, Dean would come by my bedroom window and sing Stevie Wonder's My Cheri Amour. Even at 12 years old he had a beautiful voice. Till this day i think of Dean when i hear that song.It makes me cry. Please except my condolences. i only wish i found out sooner about his passing. He was my first love and i will never forget him. Love Roseanne

Dear Aunt Laura, Rich, Eileen, Colleen and the rest of Dean's family,
I was so shocked to hear of Dean's passing. It had been 10 years since I had last spoken with him, but he was one of my favorite people, and I was always proud of his accomplishments. Please accept my deepest condolences.
Love,
Mark

When I first heard of Dean's passing, I was so sad. I only saw Dean a few times in my life...he was a very good friend to my father, Al Romanelli. Although I didn't know Dean very well, I felt like I knew him from a very young age. I had his Message album, "Lessons"...I believe I was in second or third grade. I would listen to that album religiously and just remember that he had the voice of an angel. Dean made a huge impact on me from very young...I will always remember Dean as an extremly talented man. The man who was known as, "Dean the Dream" is now singing with the angels. My parents, Al & Louise Romanelli will miss Dean very much...our prayers go out to his entire family...God bless you, Dean...

I hadn't been around and just heard about Dean passing away. Dean had a big voice, and a bigger heart, and anyone who really knew Dean, knew what he was about. Me thoughts and prayers go out tonight to his family and friends, with the hope and promise that he will now be free of pain, and blessed with eternal peace. I will now have a single day to celebrate the life of two of my idols who left us much to early.
