To the entire Nichols Family: It's difficult to move on when you know that your loved one has gone out of your reach, leaving this mortal world behind. Pastor has left us all many memories that will bring forth a smile and conquer the painful tears. Although it is difficult today, looking beyond the sorrow in memory will comfort you tomorrow. I am truly sorry for your loss, and I want you to know that I am praying for your strength, peace and comfort. John 14:18 says "I will not leave you comfortless, I will come to you."
Love you All,
Cathy

My heartfelt and deepest sympathy goes out to the family and friends of Rev. Nichols. I lived in Plainfield for 30+ years and have very fond memories of attending Services at Mt. Olive. Rev. Nichols allowed me to get married there, and even though my pastor (the late Rev. Everett C. Lattimore) performed the ceremony, Rev. Nichols was right there in case we needed anything! He's gone from this earthly realm, but he's not forgotten.
So long to a very sweet and kind man of God.
Rest in Paradise Rev. Nichols!

Our deepest sympathy goes out to Mrs. Nichols, the entire Nichols family, and of course the Mt. Olive Family as you cope with the finality of Rev. Nichols' transition to glory. Of course earth's loss is heaven's gain, nevertheless, that does not nullify the fact his existence in the earthly realm has ceased. There will not be a day that you do not think of him, we're sure. May God grant you tidings of comfort and joy in the midst of your bereavement period. Let marvelous memories buoy you up and bolster your spirits as you reflect on the goodness of the Lord to have given dear Rev. Nichols to all of us as part of God's master plan. His sage wisdom and leadership will be greatly missed.
