Douglas T. Cook
AGE: 53 • Spotswood
Douglas Thomas Cook, 53, of Spotswood, died Sunday, April 29, 2012 at his home after a brief illness. Born in Long Branch, Doug was raised in Monmouth County and lived in Old Bridge for nearly 25 years before settling in Spotswood last year. He was employed as a shipping coordinator for Rimex Metals USA of Edison for the last 17 years. Doug was an accomplished carpenter and cabinet maker who enjoyed listening to jazz music, playing guitar and singing karaoke. Doug was proud to be a friend of Bill's.
Predeceased by his father, Albert Cook in 1983, he is survived by his mother, Lois M. (Van Horne) Cook of Spotswood; his brother, Kevin P. Cook of East Brunswick; his companion, Patricia Mayer of Spotswood, and; his stepchildren, Jamie and Brian O'Neil of Old Bridge.
Cremation was private. The family will receive friends at a Memorial Service this evening (Wednesday) from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Spotswood Funeral Home, 475 Main Street, Spotswood. A Mass honoring Doug's life will be offered at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
