Elda Scotto-d'Abusco
AGE: 79 • Colonia
Elda (Maffei) Scotto-d'Abusco, 79 years old, passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at her home in Colonia, NJ. She was born in Perth Amboy, where she lived for 32 years before moving to Colonia in 1966. She received her bachelor's degree from Douglas College and went on to teach English at Edison High School, Edison, NJ. "Mrs Scotti" taught many grateful students during her 35-year career at EHS. She will be missed by many relatives, colleagues, and friends, including 'the luncheon ladies.'
Daughter of the late Fernando and Chiara (Bianchi) Maffei, she is survived by her husband of 53 years Anthony Scotto-d'Abusco, and by nieces and nephews in Italy and Argentina, and by cousins in Texas, Montana, and New Jersey.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9pm on Monday April 21, 2014 at Flynn and Son Funeral Home located 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, NJ. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday April 22, 2014 at 9:00am, followed by Mass of Christian Burial 9:30am at Good Shepherd Parish, Most Holy Rosary Church, Florida Grove Road, Perth Amboy. Entombment will follow at Woodbridge Memorial Gardens in Woodbridge.
