Elizabeth (Babich) Autocunas, 92, entered into eternal life on Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012 at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville. Born in Wehrum, PA, daughter of the late George and Mary Babich, she was a lifelong resident of Manville. Elizabeth retired as a head bookkeeper with Acme Markets in Bridgewater after thirty years of dedicated employment. She was a member of Holy Ghost Carpatho Russian Orthodox Church in Manville and a member of VFW Post #2290 Ladies Auxiliary in Manville. Elizabeth loved traveling, trips to Atlantic City, and playing bingo at the VFW.
Besides her parents, Elizabeth was predeceased by her beloved husband of 66 years, John J. Autocunas, Jr., on August 1, 2011 and seven dear siblings. Elizabeth leaves behind to cherish her memory, two loving and devoted children, Marie and her husband Bob Ulrich of Manville and John G. Autocunas of Manville; and a dear brother, Andrew Babich. She will be deeply missed by two cherished grandchildren, Marie and her husband Rick Gallo and Elizabeth Ulrich and three precious great grandsons, Nathan, Raphael, and Ezra Gallo.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835 on Monday, October 8 from 2-4 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. and on Tuesday, October 9 from 8:30-9:00 a.m. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 9 beginning 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Fr. Ken Ellis of Holy Ghost Carpatho Russian Orthodox Church in Manville officiating. Committal words will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hillsborough where Elizabeth will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband.
