Emil D. Cieri

Emil D. Cieri, 94, died March 30, 2013. Emil was born and raised in Bound Brook, formerly of Somerville for 60 years before recently moving to Bridgewater. He was a veteran of the US Army, serving in the World War II. He was employed as a butcher for various supermarkets during his career and most recently at Hind & Fore in Bridgewater. He was a devoted communicant of Immaculate Conception Church. In his spare time, Emil enjoyed going to the dog tracks and racetracks, traveling to Atlantic City and Las Vegas and watching baseball and football on television. He will be sadly missed by all.
He is predeceased by his wife Clara D. Cieri who passed away in 2010. Surviving are a daughter Tina Hansford and her husband Jim, sister Anne Cieri and a grandson Christopher.
Prayers will be said 830am Wednesday at the Bruce C. VanArsdale Funeral Home, 111 N. Gaston Ave., Somerville followed by 930 am mass of Christian burial at Immaculate Conception Church, 35 Mountain Ave., Somerville. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Bridgewater.
