AGE: 86 • Edison

Francis G. Lucey, 86, of Edison died on Monday, March 5, 2012 at The Mary Anne Hale Pavilion of Haven Hospice at JFK Medical Center in Edison. Born in Elizabeth, he resided in Edison since 1964. He was a US Navy Veteran of WW II and a US Marine Corp Veteran of The Korean War. Francis was a Heavy Equipment Mechanic with United Crane and a member of the Operating Engineers Local 825. He was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Cathedral in Metuchen.

He was predeceased by his parents Dennis F. and Helen (nee Yost) Lucey, brothers Dennis and Robert and a sister Helen Heller. Surviving are his wife Lois M. (nee Bussiere), three sons Francis L. of Edison, Thomas J. and his wife Patty of Marysville, CA, Joseph and his wife Tiffany of Cranford, a daughter Eileen M. Arenas and her husband Antonio of Cedar Knolls, two sisters Catherine Laughlin of Jackson, Arlene Decker of Jackson, five grandchildren Mark, John, Robert, Antonio Jr. and Kimberly. He is also survived by sisters-in-laws, brother-in-laws and many nieces and nephews. Services will take place on Thursday, March 8, 2012, at 9:45am from Costello-Runyon Funeral Home 568 Middlesex Ave. (RT 27) Metuchen, followed by a 10:15am mass of The Resurrection at St. Francis of Assisi Cathedral. Interment is at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown, NJ Visitation is Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital PO Box 1000, Dept. 142 Memphis, TN 38148-0142. "To send condolences please visit costello-runyon.com"
