Harold M. Schott

AGE: 93 • Branchburg

Harold M. Schott, 93, died on November 3, 2013. He was born in Newark, NJ on March 14, 1920 to his dear parents Charles and Viola Pfarr Schott. Harold was a Mechanical Engineer for Lockheed Electronics in Watchung; served in the U.S. Navy during World War II; was a communicant of St. Bernard's Church in Bridgewater; a former member of the Elks BPO #1068, Lockheed Electronic Management Association, and Lockheed Stardusters. He was an avid golfer, a wood carver, and enjoyed doing artwork on the computer. Harold was a kind, caring, generous person, and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Harold is survived by his loving children, Dennis Schott and wife Nancy of Little Egg Harbor NJ and Diane Shedden and husband Mark of White Haven PA; his dear brother, Melville Schott of Florida; his loving sister, Jane Wisser of Toms River NJ; and his wonderful grandson, Gregory Schott of Maple Shade NJ. He was predeceased by his wife, Helen A. Schott (January 9, 2003); and two brothers, Russell and Harvey Schott.

Viewing will be held on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the Somerville Funeral Home, 10 West End Avenue, Somerville, NJ 08876, (908-725-2079). Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2013 starting with a viewing from 9:00 to 10:00 am at the funeral home followed by a 11:00 am Mass at St. Bernard's Church, Bridgewater, NJ. Burial in St. Bernard's Cemetery, Bridgewater, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to Care Alternatives Hospice PA, 501 Office Center Drive, Suite 285, Fort Washington, PA 19034.
