Helen Newmark Obituary
AGE: 91 • Hazlet
Helen Newmark, 91, departed this life on Friday, Aug. 12, 2011. She was a resident of Regency Park Nursing Home in Hazlet. Born Nov. 2, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Catherine and Stanley Payenski. Helen resided with her beloved husband, Bernard, who died in 2005, in South Amboy (Morgan) for more than 60 years. She worked at the draft board in Perth Amboy during World War II and later worked with her husband in the family owned business in South Amboy, Albern's Seafood. She was a wonderful mother and homemaker who took great pride in caring for her family. Helen was an active member for many years at Simpson United Methodist Church in Perth Amboy, where she and her husband were married in 1943.
Helen was predeceased by her brothers, Edward and Peter Payenski. She is survived by her two loving daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Martin Marrazo of Halfmoon, N.Y., and Deborah and Gregory Dellosso of Hazlet; a loving sister, Sue Farinich of Edison; granddaughters, Amy Abatto (Matt) and Jill Cuccolo (Brian) of upstate New York; Scott Dellosso of Newark, Del., and Lauren Dellosso of Hazlet; great-grandsons, Ryan and Nicholas Abatto; great-granddaughters, Rachel and Jordyn Cuccolo.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 14 at The Gundrum Service "Home For Funerals", 237 Bordentown Ave., South Amboy. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 15 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Clover Leaf Memorial Park, Woodbridge. Memorial donations may be made to The Simpson United Methodist Church, 313 High St., Perth Amboy, NJ 08861.
