JOHN G. IOVINO
AGE: 43 BRANCHBURG
John G. Iovino, 43, died Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2009, at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Queens, NY and growing up in Mineola, NY, he resided in Branchburg for the last ten years. Mr. Iovino received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Hofstra University and worked as a Systems Analyst for United Health Care in Basking Ridge for twenty years. John was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church in Somerville. A talented drummer, he played locally for the band, Pilgrim Sons. He also enjoyed the time he spent with his wife, children, and family, especially taking vacations together.
Surviving are his beloved wife of thirteen years, Kim Wecht Iovino; his three adoring children, Erica, Zoe and Jack; four sisters; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will begin with a prayer at 9:15 AM on Friday, November 13, 2009 at the Branchburg Funeral Home, 910 US Highway 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876 (908) 526-7638 followed by a mass of Christian burial at 10 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, 35 Mountain Ave., Somerville. Interment will be in St. Bernard Cemetery, Bridgewater. Viewing hours will be Thursday, November 12, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at the funeral home.
