John S. Falzarano died Thursday, October 24, 2013 at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville. Mr. Falzarano was born in Stirling then moved to Plainfield where he spent most of his life before moving to Middlesex 4 years ago. He was a graduate of Plainfiled High School, a volunteer for 18 years with the Plainfiled Rescue Squad, a member of the VFW in Plainfield and a member of the American Legion in Middlesex. Dedicated to his country John served during WWII in the Navy. John was a self employed building contractor. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, bowling and baseball, especially the Yankees.

He was predeceased by his wife Antoinette "Cheek" and a brother Sonny. John is survived by his beloved son John and daughter in law Fran of So. Plainfield; 2 grandchildren Officer John Falzarano of the NYPD and Stephanie Falzarano; a loving companion Rose Falcucci; a sister Ann Flatley and several nieces and nephews.

Services will start 10 a.m. Monday from the Scarpa Funeral Home 22 Craig Place, North Plainfiled, followed by an 11 a.m. Mass at the Church of St. Bernard-St. Stanislaus in Plainfield. Burial will take place in Hillside Cemetery in Scotch Plains. Visiting hours are Sunday, October 27th 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
