Joseph M. Kotuski, 94, of Fords, passed away Thursday, November 21, 2013 at JFK Haven Hospice in Edison. Mr. Kotuski was born in Perth Amboy to the late Anton and Veronica Kotuski and had resided in Fords for the last sixty four years. Mr. Kotuski was a US Army Veteran of World War II serving with the 45th Infantry in North Africa, Sicily, Italy, France, and Germany. He was employed by Chevron Oil in Perth Amboy as the head Process Operator for thirty-two years before retiring in 1982.

Mr. Kotuski was a member of Our Lady of Peace RC Church in Fords, where he served as an usher for many years. He was also a member of the Fords-Keasbey Senior Citizens Club, serving as the travel director, the Holy Spirit Seniors, the Perth Amboy Knights Of Columbus Council #299, the Hopelawn V.F.W. Post 1352 and a life member of the Garfield Fire Company of Perth Amboy.

Joseph was predeceased by his beloved wife of seventy-two years, Mary (Schuller) Kotuski, on May 20, 2013. Surviving are his sons: Richard J. and wife Donna Kotuski of Little Egg Harbor, Jeffrey and wife Diane Kotuski of Port Reading, his three grandchildren Tracy, Heather and Brad and three great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday 10:00 am at the Mitruska Funeral Home, 531 New Brunswick Ave. in Fords. Followed by a 10:30 am mass in the Our Lady of Peace RC Church also in Fords. Entombment will follow in the St. James Mausoleum in Hopelawn. Visitation hours will be held Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. The Fords-Keasbey Seniors will gather to hold service Monday 3:30 pm at the funeral home.
