AGE: 76 • Shrewsbury

Louis R. Mustillo, 76, of Shrewsbury, died at Penn Presbyterian Hospital in Philadelphia on Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013 after a brief illness. Louis was born in Red Bank to Emilio and Mary (Nicoletti) Mustillo. Louis attended St. James Grammar School and went on to Red Bank Catholic High School, Class of 1955. In 1954 while at RBC, Louis became an All State Football athlete. After graduation he joined the Army and went on to play semi-pro football for the Keyport Dukes. In 2010, Louis was inducted into Red Bank Catholic's Hall of Fame. He spent 30 years of his life as owner and operator of the Walt Street Pub in Red Bank. Before owning the pub he also owned a successful construction company, Kimberly Construction. In addition, he enjoyed racing hydroplane race boats. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather with a special love for his pet Bull Terrier, Markie. He always loved celebrating life with his family and friends.

Louis was predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Christine (Delade) Mustillo; children, Louis Glen Mustillo and wife Jennifer of Eatontown, Heather Kulovitz and husband Tom of Middletown, Kimberly Sokol of Red Bank, Kristen Jablonsky of IL and Melissa Struzek and husband Jon of PA; sisters, Lois Caivano of Shrewsbury and Rosemary D'Anthony of Middletown and grandchildren, Angelina and Christian Kulovitz, Louis Emilio Mustillo, Danielle and Grant Sokol, Gina, Johnny and Beau Jablonsky and Amber, Colin and Tia Struzek.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 22nd from 2-4 & 7-9pm at John E. Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside Avenue, Red Bank, NJ 07701. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, September 23rd, 10am at St. Anthony of Padua RC Church, 121 Bridge Ave., Red Bank. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Middletown.
