Gay Birdsall's life adventure started in Washington, DC on July 17, 1944. Born into a military family, she spent her childhood in Japan, France, & Colorado. She died on Friday, Feb. 22, 2013. After graduating from Colorado State College, Gay became a speech therapist and spent most of her career practicing in New Jersey. She loved to travel to new places and had been to all but two continents. Gay was a proud & wonderful mother to her daughters, Carrie and Stacy. She taught her children to see beyond their own small neighborhood; because of her strength, Gay's kids learned to adventure far. Gay valued education and volunteered on the local school board for 13 years. Always eager to return to the mountains and open-skies of the west, Gay settled in Las Vegas in 2001 to be close to her sister, Carolyn. There she embarked on a second career at the Bellagio Hotel. Gay loved to entertain and her life was filled with great friends and laughter. Gay was self-reliant, funny, and fearless. Her rich life is a lasting inspiration.
Gay loved to celebrate birthdays; a Celebration of Life will be held in her honor in Las Vegas, on July 17, 2013.
