Margaret Ference (Nemsak), 95, of Dunellen, died on Monday, February 20, 2012 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. Born in Franklin to Mary (Luscik) Smith and Andrew Nemsak. Lived in Dunellen for over 85 years. Margaret was employed by Botwins of Dunellen for 16 ½ years. She was later employed by Communication Laboratory in Edison until her retirement at age 65. Margaret was a Charter member of Court Regina Coali of Dunellen. She was a member and parishioner of St. John's the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Dunellen and also belonged to the Rosary Society. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Triboro Post 5479 of Dunellen for 50 years, the American Legion #261 of Piscataway and Our Lady of Fatima Roman Catholic Church Rosary Society in Piscataway. Margaret was also a volunteer at the former Muhlenberg Hospital in Plainfield for 20 years.
Margaret was predeceased by her husband Andrew in 1990, by her mother and father, her sister Rosalie Simeone, a brother Stephen and another brother Andrew, who was killed in Iwo Jima. Surviving is her son James of Dunellen and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at 9:00AM at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Dunellen. Burial to follow at Holy Redeemer Cemetery in South Plainfield. Visiting hours are on Friday from 2-4PM & 7-9PM at SHEENAN FUNERAL HOME, 233 DUNELLEN AVE., DUNELLEN.
