Margaret Prindaville Helias age 96 passed peacefully at home in Surf City, NJ on November 20th, 2012. She was born in New Brunswick, NJ where she married and raised her family; spending part of her youth in Ireland and summers in Surf City since 1947. In 1972 the family moved permanently to Surf City. Through the 1950's, Marge was a member of the North Brunswick Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxillary. Marge was an esteemed lifetime member of both the Phi Beta Sigma Bridge Club and Past President of the 531 Club. In Surf City, she and Virginia E. Wartman, friend and neighbor for 50 years, presided over many parties for family, friends of family and friends of friends; Division St was the place to be! She loved swimming, water skiing, ice skating, fishing, boating and travelled the world extensively. Her influence and friendship spanned continents and while she will be missed, many will have joyful memories of her.
Margaret is pre-deceased by her husband Joseph F. Helias of 50 years; sister Rose VanSickle and brothers Henry and Edward Prindaville; daughter-in-law Brigitte Helias and close friend Marilyn Larson. Surviving are her brother Thomas Prindaville, children Jean and Kevin Helias, Mark & Claudia Helias, Doreen and Richard Bauernfeind and Michele and Bill Willem. She has seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 24th, 2012 from 2 pm until the time of service at 4 pm at the Bugbee-Riggs Funeral Home, 335 South Main Street, Barnegat, NJ 08005.
