Mary DiMaggio Craparotta

Mary DiMaggio Craparotta, 85, of Monroe Twp., died Sunday, February 10th at Monroe Village Health Care Center, Monroe Twp. Born in New York City, Mrs. Craparotta was a lifelong resident of Monroe Twp., moving to the Rossmoor Community 17 years ago. She was employed for 22 years as a Teacher's Aide by the Monroe Twp. Board of Education, retiring in 1993. Mrs. Craparotta was a former Deacon and Sunday School teacher at the Jamesburg Presbyterian Church. She was a member of the Italian-American and Dance Clubs in Rossmoor and her hobbies included yoga and bocce.

She is predeceased by her brothers Dominic and Nick. Surviving is her husband of 66 years Leonard, two daughters Lenore Kemper and her husband Harald of Sterling, PA and Rene of Jamesburg, two sons Leonard Jr. and Joseph and his wife Jennifer, both of Jamesburg, her sister Angie Sluck and her husband Peter of Monroe Twp., six grandchildren Kelly and her husband Michael, Amy and her husband David, Josh and his wife Jessica, Kyle and his wife Michele, Andrienne and Joey, six great grandchildren Jason, Gavin, Michael, Pazia, Ava and Isabella, two nephews Wayne DiMaggio and his wife Marie of Old Bridge and Peter of Lake George, NY, and a niece Lori of Jamesburg.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, February 18th at the Jamesburg Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow in Fernwood Cemetery, Jamesburg. Visiting hours for family and friends will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday, February 17th at the Lester Memorial Home, 16 W. Church St., Jamesburg. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Church Renovation Fund or the Deacons Food Pantry, both of the Jamesburg Presbyterian Church.
