Ronald J. Tietjen, 73, of Jackson Twp., NJ, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 21, 2014, at CareOne at Jackson, Jackson Twp., NJ. He was born in Jersey City, NJ, and resided in Fords, NJ, and then Colts Neck, NJ, for 30 years, before moving to Jackson Twp. 10 years ago. He was a supervisor for DTC Depository Trust Clearing Corporation, New York, NY, for 24 years before his retirement in 2001. He was a communicant of St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, Jackson Twp., NJ.

Ronald was predeceased by his parents, Henry and Agnes Tietjen. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Marie Tietjen; his daughter, Rhonda Chrigi of East Windsor, NJ; his step daughters and their spouses, Debbie and Anthony Edwards of San Diego, CA, Carol and John Todaro of Bethlehem, PA; his step sons, Gerard Petrozziello and his wife Anna of Rockaway, NJ, and Nicholas Petrozziello of Freehold, NJ; his sisters, Kay Decoon and Josephine D'Amato, both of Toms River, NJ; and his 8 grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his visitation on Sunday, August 24, 2014, from 1-4 PM, at the George S. Hassler Funeral Home, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ 08527. A funeral gathering will be offered on Monday, August 25, 2014, at 8:30 AM at the funeral home. His Funeral Liturgy will be offered on Monday, August 25, 2014, at 9:30 AM at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, 935 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ. Interment to follow in Alpine Cemetery, 703 Amboy Ave., Perth Amboy, NJ. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to , 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
