Rose Antoinette (Marino) Gullo, 80, of Monroe Twp., died Monday, Jan. 2, 2012 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born and raised in Brooklyn, Rose settled in Monroe Twp. in 1972. She was a homemaker. She was a longtime communicant of Immaculate Conception Church, Spotswood. Rose loved to cook and entertain for her family and friends. She also enjoyed daytrips to the Poconos and to Pennsylvania Dutch Country. Above all, Rose cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Joseph J. Gullo; her son, Vito Gullo and his wife Maureen of Monroe Twp.; her daughter, Gina Adams and her husband Scott of Old Bridge Twp.; her sister, Anna Ferrara of North Massapequa, Long Island; her grandchildren, Joseph, Erica, Michele, Danny and Nicole, and; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM Friday from Spotswood Funeral Home, 475 Main Street, Spotswood, followed by a 12 PM Mass of Christian Burial from Immaculate Conception Church, Spotswood. Entombment will be in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5:00 to 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
