Thomas Frank Obituary
AGE: 78 • New Port Richey, FL
Thomas C. Frank, 78, passed away on January 17, 2017 in New Port Richey, Florida after a valiant battle with Parkinson's Disease.
Tom was born and raised in Plainfield, NJ. He was passionate about athletics and was a star baseball player. After finishing high school, he joined the army to serve his country. He was stationed in France, where he met the love of his life, Sandra Bittick. They married in 1961 and had three daughters. After completing his military service, Tom joined the Plainfield Fire Department as a firefighter, and went on to become the Fire Chief. Tom retired in 1990 and moved to Florida to golf, fish and enjoy life on the water with his loving & devoted wife and family.
Tom is survived by his wife Sandy, his three daughters, Leanne & her predeceased husband, Michael DeTorres, Teri & her husband, John Tedesco, and Lorraine & her husband, Mike Kerlin. His nine granddaughters, Alicia, Justine, Chelsea, Ashley, Angela, Samantha, Tomi Jane, Kathleen & Heather. His 4 great-grandchildren, Jaiden Thomas, James Brandon, Tori Brielle & Ava Rain.
A true gentleman, Tom was loved by all who knew him. He will be forever missed. He continues his fight against Parkinson's by gifting his body to scientific research through Science Care and the Miller School of Medicine in Florida. A Firefighter's service will be held privately for immediate family and friends at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Parkinson's Foundation in memory of Thomas C. Frank.

Having worked with Tom in the Plainfield Fire Dept. in different capacities, I found him to be a good firefighter, a great leader, and a decent person. He was that rare person, a "real gentleman". My sympathy to the family..........Tom Lyons
