She was loved, a devoted woman of education. I did not have her as my teacher: my nieces and daugther had the blessings of being taught by her. Her beauty alone was just one of many giving blessings for those who knew her. I am blessed to have been bold enough to meet with her. True lady.. You are at peace now: Mrs Johnson I will never forget you are the kinds words you shared with me.

The Roney family extends their deepest sympathy and prayers for the Johnson family during this time of loss. Know that Valerie is resting in Gods hands.

Valerie Johnson was my 6th grade teacher at Washington School, and she also taught my children there in the late 1980's and early 1990's. I remember as a student she told me the importance of gettng a good foundation and education in order to help me attain the things I wanted in life. Although petite in stature, Valerie's genuine concern for her students extended well beyond the physical borders of the school property. I have three children that are now adults that were taught and influenced in the same caring way that I was shown so many years ago. My middle daughter kept all awards and certificates given to her by Mrs. Johnson and that is an indication
of the positive influence one caring teacher can have. I am thankful for teachers like Valerie A. Johnson, having been a student and parent of students. There are teachers that truly make a difference
in the lives of those they teach, Valerie even more so.
