Wallace K. Grubman-Graham

formerly of Mendham & Plainfield

Wallace K. Grubman-Graham passed away peacefully in Concord, NH, on January 6, 2012. Mr. Grubman-Graham was the devoted husband of 61 years to his loving wife Ruth Graham and the father of three sons, James Grubman (deceased), Steven Graham and Eric Grubman. He was born in New York City and attended Columbia University. He was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of National Starch and Chemical Company, and subsequently, Director of Unilever PLC. Wallace and his wife raised a family in Plainfield and Mendham, NJ, then lived for many years in London and Surrey, England. They most recently lived in Northwood, NH and Rockport, Maine.

He is survived by his wife Ruth and sons Steven Graham of E. Longmeadow, MA and Eric Grubman of Summit, NJ; granddaughters Erika, Christine and Alison Graham; and grandsons James and Samuel Compton.

A memorial service will be held at Christ Church in Summit, NJ on January 17th at 11am.

I would like to again, Ruth, extend my deepest sympathy to you, Steven, Eric and families. Wally was one special man. I will always remember him with fond memories - -especially the time he forgot his keys at the camp!
