IRVING COHEN
AGE: 79 MIDDLESEX
Irving Cohen, of Middlesex, 79, formerly of North Plainfield, a retired Plainfield business owner and Korean War veteran, peacefully passed away Saturday, Sept. 26, 2009, at Regency Heritage surrounded by his family. The funeral is Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2009, at 11:00 am at Higgins Home for Funerals, 209 W. Eighth Street, Plainfield, NJ.
Mr. Cohen was born July 26, 1930 in Plainfield. After graduating North Plainfield High School in 1949, he attended watch making school then proudly served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He later attended Bradley University.
Mr. Cohen owned Suburban Jewelers in Plainfield for 38 years before retiring. He was a life member of the VFW, most recently Post no. 5479 and member of American Legion Post no. 306.
Mr. Cohen is predeceased by his parents, Morris and Minnie Cohen and sister, Roslyn Sack. He is survived by his loving wife, Beverly Cohen; daughters, Elissa Cohen and Marcy Cohen; sister, Hanna Cohen; nieces and nephews along with a host of other loving relatives and friends.
