ROBERT "BOB" FERRARO
AGE: 77 PLAINFIELD
Robert Ferraro, 77, of Plainfield passed away Sunday Dec. 6, 2009. Born in Middle Village, NY, he lived in Plainfield since 1968. Bob was a proud Navy veteran serving in Korea from 1951-1955. He joined the Nassau County Police Department until moving to Plainfield. Bob served eight years as a Plainfield Councilman and was most recently employed by the PMUA. Bob was a member of the RMS Titanic society and had the distinction of making a dive to the wreck site as well as giving many memorable speeches. Many might also know Bob because of his love of entertaining and right up until his passing he could be found singing the night away during karaoke.
Bob is survived by his wife, Bobbie; six children, Robin, Tammy, Caryn, Cathy, Tommy & Amy; and 14 grandchildren. He touched so many people in his life and we're all better for having known such a wonderful man.
Bob chose to have his body donated to Robert Wood Johnson to be used for medical research. A memorial service will be held Wednesday December 9th from 6-9pm at Memorial Funeral Home, 155 South Avenue, Fanwood. We are deeply saddened by Bob's passing. We loved to hear him sing especially when he was "elvis". God Bless you and your family through these difficult times.

Mrs. Ferraro and Family,

Please accept my heartfelt condolences.

Mr. Ferraro was such a friendly and helpful man. He was genuinely concerned about the citizens of Plainfield. The city would have truly benefited greatly had he been mayor.

May God comfort you all.
