Enoch Ferguson Obituary
ENOCH A. FERGUSON
PLAINFIELD
Enoch A. Ferguson, passed Sunday, June 27, 2010, at JFK Medical Center, Edison. Born in Key West, Fla., he lived in Plainfield for 34 years and was formerly of Jersey City. He was employed by the PMUA as a supervisor for 10 years, and had formerly worked for UPS in various positions for 33 years before retiring. Mr. Ferguson was also shop steward with Teamsters Union Local 177, Hillside. He was a member of Stone Square Lodge #38 F&AM P.H.A. and a Past Worshipful Master, Douglas Consistory #10, and Golconda Shrine of Newark. Mr. Ferguson was a U.S. Army veteran serving as a military police officer during the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Ruth; son, Thomas C.; daughters, Connie and Jenice Ferguson; grandchildren, Sean Ferguson-Allen, Thomas Ferguson, and Asamin Travis; brother, J.D.; and sisters, Rose and Pat Ferguson.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday at the First Park Baptist Church, Plainfield. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, with ritualistic services at 7:30 p.m. at Judkins Colonial Home, Plainfield. Condolences may be sent to www.judkinscolonialhome.com

I only knew Mr. "Fergie" for a short period of time, but he was such a gracious man. Funny, kind, giving and dedicated to everything he held dear to him. He will surely be missed by employees of PMUA. May the family seek the counsel and loving arms of the most high God. Weeping only last for a short period of time. We celebrate the life of Mr. Ferguson, we praise God for his time on this side. I offer prayers of peace during this time of greiving.
