AGE: 95 • Dunellen
John A. Colucci, 95, a Dunellen resident since 1960, died Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014 at Robert Wood Johnson University Medical Center in New Brunswick. He was born in Newark and had resided in Belleville before his move to Dunellen. His wife Mae, died in 2012. John had worked as a lithographer for many years for Wilson Jones in Elizabeth before his retirement in 1981. He also served honorably during WWII in the Army Corp of Engineers and after moving to Dunellen, he became an associate member of the Dunellen Fire Dept. Along with being an avid golfer, he was also devoted to his son and grandchildren and enjoyed many Sunday dinners with his family.
Surviving is his son, John and his wife Elizabeth of Martinsville; 2 brothers, Frank of Parsippany, Medie of Newark; a sister, Neva Brown of Freehold; his 2 grandchildren, Andrew and William, and several nieces and nephews.
Visiting will be Sun. 4-8PM at the Sheenan Funeral Home, 233 Dunellen Ave., Dunellen. There will be a 9AM Mass of Christian Burial on Mon. at St. John's Church in Dunellen, where he was a long time communicant, with entombment following at Resurrection Burial Park, Piscataway.
