Victoria Longo

AGE: 90 • Somerville

Passed away on February 10, 2014. Vicky, as she was known to family and friends, was born in New York City, grew up in Flemington and raised her own family in Whitehouse Station.

After the death of her husband in 1982 she returned to Flemington before moving to Somerville in 2007 to live with her daughter and son-in--law. She was employed as a secretary at Ortho Diagnostics for over 22 years retiring in 1985. She was a communicant of St.Magdalen Church. She volunteered many hours at Hunterdon Medical Center, the Readington branch of Hunterdon County Library, Flemington Food Pantry, the Hunterdon Community Health Agency and the Red Cross. In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling, reading and was an extraordinary scrabble player. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

She is predeceased by her husband Vincent Longo and four brothers, Alexander, Nickolas, John and Joseph Mazzucco. Surviving are her son James, two daughters Theresa Canata and her husband Steve and Debra Russo and her husband Bill, 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

A funeral mass will be 11:30am Saturday at St. Magdalen Church 105 Mine St, Flemington. Interment will follow in St. Magdalen Cemetery in Flemington. Visitation will be 6-8pm Friday at the Bruce C VanArsdale Funeral Home, 111 North Gaston Ave. Somerville, 908-725-3111.
