Anthony J. DeSiena, 87, passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2014. Born in Plainfield, he resided most of his life in Stirling before moving to Whitehouse Station 27 years ago.
Mr. DeSiena served in the United States Army during World War II attaining the rank of Technician Fifth Grade. He served as a medic and paratrooper with the 11th Airborne Division.
Mr. DeSiena worked for BOC in Murray Hill for 30 years retiring in 1999 as the Maintenance Supervisor.
Anthony was an avid Yankee fan and fisherman. He enjoyed taking trips to Las Vegas and Atlantic City with his wife. His family was everything to him and he enjoyed spending quality time with them, especially his grandchildren and great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Fred and Katherine DeSiena; and his four brothers, George, Arthur, Alfred, and Louis.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 60 years, Mary Massaro DeSiena; his beloved son, Anthony DeSiena and wife, Deborah of Whitehouse Station; his cherished daughter, Constance "Connie" Quaglia of Whitehouse Station; his three grandchildren, David, Gina, and Derek; his great-grandson, Anthony; and several nieces and nephews.
Viewing hours will be held on Sunday, February 23, 2014 from 2 to 6 PM at Branchburg Funeral Home, 910 US Highway 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876 (908) 526-7638 and Monday February 24, 2014 from 9:30 to 10:30 AM with a Prayer Service to begin at 10:30 AM.
