Franklin "Frank" C. Capone

Franklin "Frank" C. Capone, 87, died Wednesday, March 12, 2014, at his home in Piscataway. Frank was born June 23, 1926 in Stroudsburg, PA to Victor and Mildred Warner Capone. He was raised in Bangor, PA and was a resident of Piscataway for many years. He was an appliance repairman in the area for many years and after his retirement worked as a security guard for Lockheed Electronics Co. in Watchung. He was a long time active member of the First Baptist Church of New Market, Piscataway. In recent years he attended Christ United Methodist Church in Piscataway. Frank served in the Navy in the Pacific Theater during World War II. He was a member of the Dunellen VFW Post 5479. He enjoyed fishing, wood crafting and watching NASCAR racing, He was the husband of the late Elsa V.C. Harthan (Bracken) Capone, who died March 23, 2007; he was the father of the late Linda C. Warren; and the brother of the late Pete Capone.

His family includes his daughters, Kathy L. Kellum of Orlando, FL, and Helen D. Capone of Ft Myers, FL; his son, K. Michael Capone and his wife, Robin Gale, of Wimauma, FL; 19 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 15, 2014, at Christ United Methodist Church, 485 Hoes Lane, Piscataway. Cremation will be private. Interment at Hillside Cemetery will also be private. Memorial Donations may be made to Christ United Methodist Church, Piscataway 08854. Arrangements are under the direction of The Mundy Funeral Home, 142 Dunellen Ave., Dunellen.
