L. Bertha Redshaw; 91, died Sunday, March 16., 2014 at The Gardens at Monroe. he was born March 11, 1923 in New Brunswick to George and Mabel Van Nuis Redshaw. She was raised in Piscataway, on the Van Nuis farm. Bertha had resided in Somerset for 23 years and had last lived in Monroe since 2005. She had worked as a Home Health Aide with the Visiting Homemakers in Somerset County for 23 years until 1973. Bertha had attended the First Baptist Church of New Market in Piscataway in her early years and later the United Methodist Church in East Millstone. She had also been a member of the former New Market Grange in Piscataway.
She was the wife of the late G. Fred Roth who died Oct. 6, 1972. Her family includes 2 sones, Michael A. Roth and his wife Mary Ann of The Highlands and Ralph B. Roth and his wife Marlene of South Brunswick; 2 sisters Jeanette Castimore of Sparta and Mildred McHugh of Old Bridge, 2 brothers, Robert Redshaw of Kunkeltown, PA. and Richard Redshaw of Sparta, 3 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
A service will be held at The Mundy Funeral Home, 142 Dunellen Avenue, Dunellen on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. Interment will be at Trinity United Church Cemetery, Warren Friends may visit the family in Tuesday from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
