Robert Paul Celko, 66, entered into eternal life on Sunday, April 6, 2014 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. Born at Camp Kilmer to his late parents Frank Jr. and Dorothy Frieda (Paul) Celko, Bob grew up in Metuchen and lived in Lakewood until moving to Middlesex in 1979. Bob was a 1965 graduate of Kubasaki High School located in Sukiran, Okiwana. A veteran of the United States Air Force, he was honorably discharged as a Staff Sergeant on March 13, 1971. He worked as a photographer who enjoyed taking photos of nature. Bob loved all aspects of music, especially writing music and enjoying time on the guitar and keyboard. Above all things, Bob was a true family man who cherished his time spent with his wife and children.
Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his sister Judith Celko who died in 2004. Bob is survived by his loving wife of thirty six years; Anna Marie (Slaight) and their two devoted children; Amanda Celko of Woodbridge, VA and Staff Sergeant Ryan Celko and his wife Jenifer of Ft. Stewart, GA and Springfield, VA. He also leaves behind his sister Pamela Cox of New Hampshire.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 10, 2014 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm in the Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex, NJ 08846. On Friday, April 11, 2014, relatives and friends are invited to gather at Clover Leaf Memorial Park in Woodbridge for an 11:00 am graveside service with military honors. In lieu of flowers, donations sent to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675 would be greatly appreciated.
