Mary Zimmermann

AGE: 79 • Whitehouse Station

Mary Boyle Zimmermann, 79, died on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at Hunterdon Medical Center. She was born in Glasgow, Scotland and moved to the U.S. in 1957 where she initially resided in New York before moving to Bridgewater. It was there she raised her family before moving on to Flemington and most recently resided in Whitehouse Station at the Mirota Residence.

Mary was an avid reader and accomplished seamstress. She was always quick to point out, in her usual witty way, that she had a brogue and everyone surrounding her had an "accent". Mary had a great sense of humor. She enjoyed many summers at her beach house and was always up for a good garage sale. Her love of angels was well-known and she always sported her "guardian" angel pins proudly, wherever she went.

Mary had incredible friends throughout her life who truly understood and supported her through the many obstacles presented to her. Throughout her life, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will always be in our hearts.

Mary was predeceased by her husband, George (1985); and sons, Gary (2004) and Roy (1991).

Surviving are her loving son, Jimmy (Zimmy) of Monmouth Junction; her devoted daughter, Margaret Kleinknecht and son-in-law, David of Readington; her three beautiful grandchildren, Crystal Zimmermann, Garrett and Grace Kleinknecht; her sister, Margaret Miller and husband, Warren of Minnesota; sister-in-law, Eleanor of Waretown; and dear nieces and nephews.

Visitation hours will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2014 from 10 am to 12 pm with a Prayer Service to begin at 12 PM at Branchburg Funeral Home, 910 US Highway 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876 (908) 526-7638. Inurnment will be private.
