Edward D. Dragon, 89, of Dunellen, passed away peacefully on Saturday; May 17th at Somerset Medical Center. A lifelong member of Dunellen, Edward honorably served in the US Army during WWII. He worked as a lineman for Verizon until his retirement in 1986. Ed had several hobbies. He was an avid fisherman. The majority of his free time was spent on his 32 foot cabin cruiser on which he took many fishing expeditions. He enjoyed outings with family and friends on his boat. Ed was an accomplished ice skater which enabled him to meet Nancy Kerrigan. He performed in numerous ice shows as a clown known as Logo the Hobo entertaining children and adults of all ages. As Logo, Ed visited and entertained children at area hospitals. Residents at nursing homes enjoyed Ed's antics as Logo. He will be truly missed by his family and friends.
Edward is predeceased by his brother Frank. He is survived by his sister Josephine Vargo of Dunellen, 2 brothers, John and his wife Helen of Lakewood, and Milton of Vineland, his sister-in-law Rose of Lakewood, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Thursday; May 22nd from 4-8PM at the Sheenan Funeral Home, 233 Dunellen Ave, Dunellen. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday; May 23rd at 10AM at St. John's Church, Dunellen. Burial will follow at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown.
