Helen "Eileen" (Gober) Gennarini died Saturday, May 17, 2014, at her home in Miami, Florida. She was 81. Born in Shenandoah, Pennsylvania, she had lived in New Brunswick and Somerset before moving to Miami to live with her daughter in August of 2013. She had worked at Delphi Battery in New Brunswick for 15 years before retiring in 1999. Mrs. Gennarini was a communicant of St. Mary of Mount Virgin R.C. Church in New Brunswick. She had been vice president of the PTA at St. Mary's School and she used her creative talents for decorating at many church events. She was an honorary member of the Alpha Phi Omega service fraternity at Rutgers.
Her husband Ray Gennarini died in 1983. Surviving are her daughter Barbara "Bobbi" Loebs and her husband Dale of Miami; two sons - Richard "Rick" Gennarini of Mansfield, Texas and Gary John Gennarini and his wife Erica of Princeton; a grandson U.S. Army S Sgt. Matthew Loebs and his wife Samantha of Fort Drum, New York; and two great granddaughters - Makayla and Braelyn.
Funeral services will be 9:15 AM Saturday from Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick followed by a 10:00 AM Mass at St. Mary of Mt. Virgin Church in New Brunswick. Entombment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park in North Brunswick. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home Friday evening from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
