AGE: 84 • Whiting

James F. St. Pierre departed this earth on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at the Pines of Whiting, Hamilton Place. He was 84. Surviving is his wife of 57 years, Judith Jean Showalter St. Pierre, a daughter, Christina St. Pierre of Jackson, NJ, a son James St. Pierre and his wife Laura St. Pierre of Arlington, VA, one brother, Thomas St. Pierre of Hightstown, NJ, three grandchildren: Dennis Vance, Benjamin & Nathaniel St. Pierre and a great-grandson Dennis Vance.

Born in Camden, NJ he grew up in Toms River and attended Toms River High School. Jim and Jean were married in 1956 and they lived in Old Bridge for more than 45 years before moving to The Pines at Whiting, 5 years ago. He served in the US Navy and was stationed on Guam. After his military service, he attended Rider College under the G.I. Bill and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. Prior to retiring Jim was Assistant Manager for Metropolitan Life Insurance Company in South River, NJ and then transferred to the Home Office in NY. In his retirement he worked as a court clerk in the Middlesex County Courthouse, New Brunswick.

He loved spending time with family and friends and taking trips to the Jersey shore in the summertime. Among his many interests, Jim enjoyed jitterbug dancing, jazz music, meeting with friends, good food and watching James Bond movies. He also enjoyed tending his vegetable and flower garden.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 30th from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 115 Lacey Road, Whiting, NJ 08759.
