Walter S. Kozlowski

AGE: 70 • Raritan Township

Walter S. Kozlowski, of Raritan Township, passed away on June 3, 2014, due to complications from Huntington's Disease. He was 70. Born in Jersey City on July 23, 1943, Walter was the son of John and Feliksa Doslik Kozlowski. He served honorably in the U.S. Army from 1963-1965. Walter lived in both Bound Brook and Branchburg before moving to Raritan Township in 1986. He was a member of the former Carpenters' and Resilient Flooring Union Local 2212 for over 30 years, retiring in 2002.

Walter is survived by his wife of 29 years, Shelley Minchin Kozlowski, sons Eric and Adam Kozlowski, and daughter Sara Kozlowski, all of Flemington. He also leaves his mother-in-law Kathryn Minchin of Somerville, in-laws Jeffrey and Sherry Minchin of Hampton, Tracey Minchin of Somerville, Jennifer and Ralph Sandar of Flemington, Kathy Kozlowski of Bronx, NY, and 10 nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brothers Viktor, Ted and Joseph.

Walter will most be remembered for his love of family, his generous and forgiving heart, his sense of humor and his willingness to lend a hand to anyone.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be directed to the Huntington's Disease Society of America, 505 8th Ave, Suite 902, NY, NY 10018.

Visitation will be Friday, June 6, from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at Robert L. Ford Funeral Home, 38 Rt. 31, Flemington. Services and burial will take place Saturday, 10:30 a.m., at North Branch Reformed Church, 203 Rt. 28, Bridgewater. Please visit to send condolences.
