Irene Yenei Baldesweiler died Thursday, June 5, 2014, at the Reformed Church Home in Old Bridge. She was 92. Born and raised in Ithaca, New York she had lived in New Brunswick Before moving to East Brunswick in 1951. She had worked for New Jersey Bell during World War II and then for over 30 years as a lab technician at Bristol Myers Squibb in New Brunswick before retiring in 1985. After retirement she had worked at Rutgers' Nelson Biology Building in New Brunswick. She was a member of the Bristol Myers Squibb Quarter Century Club. Mrs. Baldesweiler was a member of the Magyar Reformed Church in New Brunswick and was a member of the church's Women's Guild for over 50 years. She had served as the guild's president.
Her husband Joseph P. Baldesweiler died in 1985. Surviving are two sons - Joseph A. Baldesweiler and Peter J. Baldesweiler and his wife Amy, all of East Brunswick; and four grandchildren - James, Katie, Lisa and Nicole.
Funeral services will be 9:15 AM Tuesday from Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick followed by a 10:00 AM service at the Magyar Reformed Church in New Brunswick. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home Monday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM.
