Anna (Recine) Lupo, died Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at her home in Monroe Township. She was 85. Born in New Brunswick she had lived in North Brunswick since 1954 before moving to Monroe Township 14 years ago. She and her late husband were owners of the White Lion Inn (later named Villa Fiore) in North Brunswick from 1953 until their retirement. Mrs. Lupo was a communicant of Our Lady of Peace R.C. Church in North Brunswick. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliaries of the Adams Athletic Club and the North Brunswick Italian American Club, and was a former member of the Middlesex County Business Women's Association.
Her husband Fiore (Fred) Lupo died in 2002. Surviving are five sons; Vincent Lupo and his wife Linda of North Brunswick, Richard Lupo and his wife Barbara of Millstone, Michael Lupo of Manahawkin, Fred Lupo and his wife Carol of Monroe Township and Joseph Lupo of Doylestown; two sisters; Margaret Manfredi of Toms River and Elvira Roth of Brick ; nine grandchildren; Tracy Lauri, Shelley Mate, Richard Lupo, Christina Sable, Andrea Lupo, Justin Lupo, Kimberly Lupo, Kevin Lupo and Thomas Lupo; and ten great grandchildren - Matthew, Jared, Alyssa, Virginia, Derek, Drew, Dean, Justin, Dylan and Gabriella.
Funeral services will be 8:15 AM Saturday, July 5, from Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick followed by a 9:00 AM Mass at Our Lady of Peace Church in North Brunswick. Entombment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park in North Brunswick. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Thursday, July 3, from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Our Lady of Peace Church, 277 Washington Place, North Brunswick, NJ 08902.
