Mary Maloney, 84, of Fords, entered into eternal rest, Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at her home. She was born in Perth Amboy and has resided in Fords for the past 65 years. Mary was the assistant Manager of Food Service with the Woodbridge Township Board of Education at JFK High School for 20 years before retiring in 2000. She had previously been the cook at Our Lady of Peace R C Church Rectory in Fords.
Mary was predeceased by her husband Edward T. Maloney in 1968. She was a devoted mother to Patricia Parker and her husband William of Manchester, Nancy Canary and her husband Jerry of Brick, Kathleen Fitzpatrick and her husband Mark of Fords, Edward D. Maloney and his wife Tina of Las Vegas, and Thomas V. Maloney and his wife Lisa of Colonia. She was a loving grandmother of Christie, Kelly, Bill, Shaun, Dan, Mary-Kate, Julia, Stacey, Eddie, and Chase, and great grandmother of Kimberly, Dale, Laura, John and Ava, and dearest sister of Helen Dragotta, of South Amboy, and Frank Ruszala of Old Bridge.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 9:30 am at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords followed by a 10 am funeral liturgy at Our Lady of Peace. Visitation is Friday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. In lieu of flowers contributions are requested to Life Choice Hospice at www.lifechoicehospice.com.
