AGE: 81 • Somerville

Eldon "Skip" Seymour, 81, entered into eternal life with Jesus on July 24, 2014. He was born in Rush Township, Schuylkill County, PA on August 1, 1932 to his dear parents Sarah Ann Maurer and Raymond Seymour. Eldon was a Truck Driver for H.S. Mensing/Phillips Concrete in Bridgewater where he retired after over 25 years; a PA Corporal National Guard for the U.S. Army for six years; and a Charter Member of Calvary Bible Church in Readington NJ. He was a devoted husband; a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who was an avid reader, loved the outdoors (especially camping, gardening, and picking the first tomato off the vine). Eldon was a kind, caring, generous person, and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Eldon is survived by his beloved wife, Carol Rinker Seymour of 61 years; his loving children, Timothy (Marge) Seymour, Nancy (Roland) Tally, Sandy Seymour, Stephen Seymour, Dave Seymour (Cheryl Young); nine wonderful grandchildren, Nathaniel (Kristy), Jonathan (Vivian), Elizabeth (Josh), Rebecca, Bonita, Danielle, James, Robert, Brandon; and eleven great-grandchildren; and holds close to his heart, three nephews, Mark, Matt, John Rinker and a niece Martha Rinker, David (godson) and Gary McLaughlin, and Bill Martin. He was predeceased by his parents, Sarah Ann Maurer Seymour-Cooper and Raymond Seymour; two brothers, Forrest Dwight Seymour (1933) and twin Aldon Seymour (1932); and his step-father, Vernard G. Cooper.

Viewing will be held on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the Somerville Funeral Home, 10 West End Avenue, Somerville, NJ 08876, 908-725-2079. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2014 starting with a viewing from 8:30 to 9:30 am followed by burial in Skyview Cemetery, Hometown, PA.
