Neil Michael Roth, D.M.D., 69, died peacefully at home on Friday, August 1, 2014, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 30, 1945 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, where his father was stationed as a Major in the Army Air Corps during World War II, and lived in Colts Neck, New Jersey.
Neil is survived by his wife, Sue Corotis Roth; his son, Matthew Garrett Roth; his daughter, Sydney Blair Roth; his future son-in-law, Jayson Harold Seidman; and the family's golden retriever, Remy Martin Roth.
He practiced dentistry in South Amboy, New Jersey for over 40 years, a business that once belonged to his father, Alexander Roth. He also ran Garden State Foliage with his partner, Zsolt Kruppa. He was a Diplomat for the American Board of Orofacial Pain and served as a member of its Examination Council. He was awarded a Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry. He was an active member in the New Jersey Dental Association and American Dental Association, and served as both Trustee and Vice President for the Middlesex County Dental Society. He was also the founder of the Hudson County Heart Association's CPR program. He was a loving husband of 35 years and an amazing father. Friends always commented how his smile would light up a room.
Services will be held on Sunday, August 3, at Bloomfield Cooper Funeral Home in Ocean, NJ at 11:30 a.m., with shiva to follow at 7:00 p.m. at the family's residence on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. The address for the family's household is 88 Clover Hill Road, Colts Neck, New Jersey.
